Himalayan Fir Forest Hike

Himalayan Fir Forest Hike

“I stop to admire a giant oak tree, more than two metres in girth, pointing its knotted gnarled branches, outwards and upwards at the sky. Its branches are festooned with a variety of mosses, lichens, epiphytes, parasitic creepers, and other life forms that provide spaces for many creatures.” – Ghazala Shabuddin, CEDAR.

This experience is meant for families and children looking for deep nature engagement and witnessing a remote country living. Our trained guides will take you on a walk, through the forests of giant oak, rhododendron, fir, and cedars. After nearly half an hour walk in the deep jungles, you will come across meadows overlooking a river in the gorge. The aroma of wild herbs growing in the meadows, and calls of rare Himalayan birds will keep your senses engaged, leaving you inspired. A picnic spread amidst this thick jungle will surely become the highlight of your stay in Mukteshwar. A list of things to do in Mukteshwar is incomplete without experiencing the gift of nature.
